Tuesday 6th November 2012

This was the start of our production as a group, this day consisted of choosing the individuals we would work with. Our group included the following individuals, Sonbul, Zahra and Sahedul. During this day we also were told what we would be doing therefore as a group we decided that as a group we should just go off and look and research about different music videos so that in the next week we were more certain on what idea and song that we as a group should do.

Tuesday 13th November 2012

We were provided with an overview of what our pre-production work consisted off and what we needed to do as a group, this made us more aware as a group of what we needed to do and also meant that it could be easier to delegate the production roles within our group.

Tuesday 20th November 2012

This was the day that we as a group started on our music video, we begin by creating an initial mind map of the different ideas we had for our own music video. From this point we then moved onto looking at Chris Brown as this was our selected choice from the other two ideas we had as a group.

Tuesday 27th November 2012

We as a group started our written work by researching and looking at the music video of our choice, we looked at the music video and begin by analysing the song and what we felt it was saying and showing. We did this in bullet points so that we could later use this as a basis to how we would want to present our own music video. We completed the areas of meaning, content, the images used, the pace of the song, duration and finally the style. We also included and looked at the performer himself and the way he presented himself and the style shown to use. This allowed us as a group to have a good understanding of the overall concept of the music video.

Tuesday 4th December 2012

We carried on with the tasks we started the week before, gaining all the research required, and we also then looked at the different types of footage found, this being the live footage. Furthermore to this we looked at the music videos success and also looked at YouTube ratings to see its popularity and interest from viewers as a group.

Tuesday 11th December 2012

Knowing what we needed to do in a group we then decided to make our production roles within the group very clear. We decided in order to complete tasks on time and have good teamwork that we needed to separate the tasks that needed to be completed between us. We gave each other agreed goals and set a deadline for work to be completed over the holidays.

Tuesday 8th January 2013

We as a group sat together and briefly went over what we were doing and what stage we are at so that everyone was clear, we then moved on and checked to insure that the tasks that were needed were completed. We looked at what was produced and agreed with the quality set in place. We as a group suggested improvements to one another work and then moved onto setting a date to begin filming. We decided the best date would be next week.

Tuesday 15th January 2013

We began our recording as a group we set off going to Coventry University and finding individuals to be within our music video however most students were still on their holiday break. We then had to come back to school and we looked around school for students to film. We found teachers who were interested in being within the music video.

Tuesday 22nd January 2013

Zahra and Sahedul went around the school to take pictures for different peoples, we wanted to include this to show that everyone is beautiful. They took a wide range of image with different angles to use within our music video. Me and Sonbul on this day went to Coventry University and gained footage of individuals miming the words beautiful people.

Tuesday 29th January 2013

Zahra and Sonbul went around school to find individuals who would say beautiful people and they found individuals whom mimed to the song. During this day I was absent therefore I looked over my work and included any additional written work required and gained feedback from my group in what stage they were at and the progress made.

Tuesday 5th February 2013

On this date, as a group we filmed students playing around and dancing, this went well with the video and as it was snowing this helped make individuals and our video more fun. We also filmed Sonbul walking along some wall.

During this day we began to edit our music video. 

Tuesday 26th February 2013

On this day we went to get extra footage for our music video, zahra and I found a student who mimed some of the lyrics from the song.

Tuesday 5th March 2013

We as a group also found individuals who mimed to some of the lyrics from the song. There was a black back drop for the student to stand in front of. 

Tuesday 12th March 2013

During this day as a group we sat together and continued editing our music video.

Saturday 16th March 2013

Me and Sonbul went around Coventry Town Centre and filmed random shots of individuals doing tricks near Coventry University, Lady Herbert’s Garden. We also captured individuals near Ikea and just presented individuals having fun. We went in the top floor of Odeon Cinema and took a landscape shot of the town centre.

We continued editing our music video.

We as a group completed our music video and handed it to our teacher, the music video was played in front of our media class and this allowed us to gain feedback from individuals on their thoughts about our music video.
